PRJ-0002 'Pneumatic Mail System for the Home Office'

PRJ-0002 2025.11.03 → 2026.05.02 Status: ongoing
Build Log ↗

An attempt to install a functional pneumatic tube mail delivery system between the home office and the kitchen. The system is designed to transport small notes, snacks, and occasionally a pen that someone left in the other room.

Tube diameter increased to 4 inches after the pretzel incident. System now accommodates most standard office supplies and a limited selection of granola bars. Throughput improved but noise levels remain problematic during video calls.

First successful delivery: a Post-It note reading "SEND COFFEE" traveled 14 meters in 2.3 seconds. The note arrived slightly crumpled but legible. The coffee did not follow.

2025.11.03

Project initiated after the realization that walking to the kitchen takes approximately 45 seconds — an eternity when measured in units of productive thought lost. Initial feasibility study suggests PVC pipe and a shop vacuum as the propulsion mechanism.
